This year the Nottingham BID will be supporting the city’s businesses with a campaign to encourage additional footfall, spend and dwell time on Wednesday evenings – the city’s established late night shopping evening, in the lead up to Christmas.

From Wednesday 6th September we will be supporting late night shopping and dining on Wednesday evening with an advertising campaign and online activities. Although the campaign will begin on Wednesday 6th September there will be a two week ’soft launch’ for the campaign with the majority of the activity beginning from Monday 18th September.

So far, key retailers who are committed to staying open later on Wednesdays include John Lewis, House of Fraser, Primark, Debenhams, Marks and Spencer as well as numerous other retailers in intu Victoria Centre.

As well as the marketing campaign, there will also be on street activity on Wednesday nights from 4pm until 8pm from Wednesday 6th September until Wednesday 1st November. We will also be supporting this campaign by linking up with restaurant midweek offers, transport offers and parking offers to make a compelling argument for visiting the city.

You can take part in this campaign in the following ways:

  • Extending your opening hours on Wednesdays
  • Putting on a midweek eating or drinking offer
  • Offering a prize to be used on our social channels and through on street activity.
